Spring Workshop in Lausanne

The funded PhD researchers from the second and third cohort visited the Forensic Science Group of UNIL (Université de Lausanne) from February 23rd to 25th, 2026. After being warmly welcomed and introducted by Associate Professor Thomas Souvignet the UNIL group consisting of Céline Vanini, Charlotte Merceron, Cléo Berger, Elena Racca, Antoine Desbiolles, Benoît Meylan and Salvador Jr Reyes started a guessing game of each other’s PhD topics and interests where both groups got to know each other through. The trip was a great opportunity for teambulding as the funded researchers, together with the UNIL students, explored the local cuisine, discussed their research topics, discovered new perspectives regarding their research field, enjoyed sightseeing sites and overall had a wonderful time together. On the last day the funded researchers attended an exciting guided tour of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court and got an insight into the swiss procedural law.
